In the same way we at iamdentity want our customers to be serious about their data, so we take your personal information seriously. Please read the following to learn more about our privacy policy.

What is covered in this policy?

This policy covers how iamdentity treats personal information that iamdentity collects and receives.

Personal information is information about you that is personally identifiable like your name, address, email address, or phone number, and that is not otherwise publicly available.

This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that iamdentity does not own or control, or to people that iamdentity does not employ or manage.

How we collect and use personal information

General

iamdentity collects personal information when you register with iamdentity and when you manage your iamdentity account and update or expand the personal data we keep about you.

- When you register we ask for information such as your name, email address, birth date, gender, address and telephone number. Once you register with iamdentity , this information is encrypted using multiple authentication objects such as security numbers and passwords, only known to yourself. It is to be noted that the iamdentity web-service can interpret this information as explained later in this policy.

- iamdentity automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP Address.

- iamdentity uses information only for purposes authorised by you. We do not sell any personal information to third parties and only send your information to third parties on your request when validated by you using the iamdentity triangular authentication process.

- iamdentity also keeps track of data-share authorisations we receive from you in order to enable you to keep track of who your personal data has been shared with and to create personal reports for yourself about your on-line activities. This information is only accessible to yourself.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

iamdentity does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or non-affiliated companies except to provide products or services you've requested, when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances:

- We provide the information to trusted partners who work on behalf of or with iamdentity under confidentiality agreements. These companies may use your personal information to help iamdentity communicate with you about offers from iamdentity and our marketing partners. However, these companies do not have any independent right to share this information.

- We respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims;

- We believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of iamdentity’s terms of use, or as otherwise required by law.

- We transfer information about you if iamdentity is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, iamdentity will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Your Ability to Edit and Delete Your Account Information and Preferences

General

- You can edit your edit or delete any information iamdentity stores about you at any time

- You can edit the information send to third parties when executing transactions using iamdentity at any time

- You can block the usage of your personal information by third parties using iamdentity at any time

- Upon cancellation of your iamdentity number, all personal information about you will be deleted and iamdentity will send you confirmation of deletion.

- We reserve the right to send you certain communications relating to the iamdentity service, such as service announcements, administrative messages and the iamdentity Newsletter, that are considered part of your iamdentity account, without offering you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving them.

- You can delete your iamdentity account by visiting the manage your account section on www.iamdentity.com. Upon deletion, all your information will be deleted and we will send a notice to all vendors that your account is no longer valid.

Confidentiality and Security

We limit access to personal information about you to employees who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or in order to do their jobs.

We have physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to protect personal information about you.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

iamdentity may update this policy. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your iamdentity account or by placing a prominent notice on our site.
